Boston - day's 11, 12 and 13 - 19th, 20th and 21st July, 2012

Day 11 was to be our last day and we were to be flying home.  We got to the airport to check in and all our flights had been cancelled - disaster!!!
It turn's out that because we had got a train to Boston from New York on the previous Monday rather than take our pre-booked flight they assumed we were not going to use any of our flights and cancelled them all.

The girl at the desk managed to get us a flight arranged for 24 hour's later so we ended up with an unexpected extra night in Boston.  The only place left with a room was the Sheraton so the five of us crammed into a room for the night (me on the floor haha).

The next day our flight's had a delay due to all the storms that ere raging across America.  We arrived home on Saturday morning slightly knackered.

The holiday was amazing and we all loved every minute of it!!!!!!!

Boston - day 10 - 18th July, 2012

Day 2 was our second day in Boston.

We started off by going to the Prudential Centre and going up to the 50th floor to view Boston from the Skywalk Observatory.  The views around Boston are teriffic and we spent a couple of hours here taking photo's, enjoying the views and participating in the interactive exhibitions.  Some of the photo's show famous Bostonian's like Babe Ruth, Leonard Nimoy, Mark Zuckerberg, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck plus many more.

After that we had a wander through Boston Common (Boston Common is the oldest park in America) and Boston Park before starting off the Boston Freedom Trail.  The trail is a 2 1/2 mile walk around the famous historical landmarks in Boston and is easily followed with the red brick that leads the way.

We were eventually washed off due to very heavy rain and headed back to The Cheesecake Factory for our evening meal.

Boston - day 9 - 17th July, 2012

This was our first full day in Boston.

We started off by taking the Boston Duck Tour on an amphibious vehicle.  Started off as a bus tour and the bus drove into the river and we continued our tour in the river.

We then had a wander though Boston and went down to Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market.

At night Ross, Heather and myself went to Fenway Park to watch Boston Red Sox play baseball against Chicago White Sox.  It was a great atmosphere with 40,000 people enjoying the action.  There are a couple of video's of surprises below at the game.

New York City to Boston - day 8 - 16th July, 2012

Day 8 was the day we packed up in New York and got the train to Boston.

Once in Boston we went to the Cheesecake Factory and then had a long walk.

On the way we visited Cheers Bar and had a pint before heading back to the hotel.
