New York City - days 6 and 7 - 14th and 15th July, 2012

Day 6 was our last day with Arlene and her family so we spent some time with them before they set off home.  Ross spent a mini fortune in the NBA store haha and everyone did some shopping of some sort.  We all had a bite to eat and some drinks in St. Andrew's bar just off Time's Square.

My wonderful mum and dad spent about 2 hours queuing up for tickets to go see Mary Poppin's and we went to see the show at The new Amsterdam Theatre on Broadway at night and had a great time there.

The next day (day 7) we took the subway to Brooklyn and then walked back across the Brooklyn Bridge to get some great views of Manhattan.  We ended up back at Times Square and went to see the new Spiderman movie at night.  Great watching a movie in the City it was filmed in :-)  After that we did some last minute shopping before packing for the next leg of our holiday.

New York City - day 5 - 13th July, 2012

Today all 9 of us - Mum, Dad, Ross, Heather, Arlene, Allen, Anna, Angelina and myself - all took the Staten Island Ferry across to Staten Island and back so we could go past the Statue of Liberty.

We then wandered around lower Manhattan, went past the the Ground Zero Memorial and also looked at the building work of the new towers.  We enjoyed watching some street performers along the way. We then walked along to Pier 17 and took in some of the views.

At night we went to Central Park to watch and listen to New York Philharmonic Orchestra perform at a free open air concert which finished off with a fireworks display.

New York City - day 4 - 12th July, 2012

Today we met up with Arlene, Allen, Anna and Angelina and the 9 of us had a great day out together.

We went to Central Park, Central Park Zoo and finally ended up at The American Museum of Natural History.

At the end of the evening we all went for a great meal together.

Basketball Hall of Fame, Springfield MA - day 3 - 12th July, 2012

Ross, Heather and myself took the train from Penn Station in New York to Springfield MA for a fantastic experience at the Basketball Hall of Fame.

We took loads of photo's, read all the stats tried out the courts, Ross did a game commentary and totally indulged ourselves in a day of basketball.  If you like basketball then you'll love the details.
